Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have the same 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacity options as the iPhone 14 Pro models, according to information shared today by Taiwanese research firm TrendForce.

The research firm reiterated its claim that both iPhone 15 Pro models will be equipped with 8GB of RAM, compared to 6GB for the iPhone 14 Pro models. Increased RAM can contribute to improved performance, particularly for multitasking. The lower-end iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models will have 6GB of RAM, the research firm said.

TrendForce believes the iPhone 15 Pro will start at $999 in the U.S., just like the iPhone 14 Pro. However, the research firm predicts that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will start at $1,199, which would be a $100 price increase compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

All four iPhone 15 models are expected to be equipped with a USB-C port and the Dynamic Island, while many additional features are rumored for the Pro models, including a titanium frame, customizable Action button, A17 Bionic chip, Wi-Fi 6E support, a periscope lens with up to 6x optical zoom on the Pro Max, and more.

Apple will unveil the iPhone 15 series at an event scheduled for Tuesday, September 12 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. A live stream of the event will be available on YouTube, on Apple's website, and in the Apple Events app for the Apple TV.

So the same storage lineup but with increased RAM and higher starting price... Let's see if the pre-recorded presentation will say otherwise...
Yeah I really doubt this. 256GB starting makes far more sense and it would be so odd if only the Max got the price increase and the smaller Pro stayed the same. Especially considering they both are using titanium in the build which is why they are rumored to see a price increase to begin with.

You’re telling me that the rumors of the phone going up in base storage to compensate for the increase in price were wrong all along and it was just a plain and simple price bump to increase Apple’s profit margins?

That’s pretty stingy… impressively stingy. I’m impressed. I’m not surprised, but I’m impressed.

If the camera on the Pro Max/ Ultra is as big of a deal as the leaks are saying, than I can totally see Apple bump the price just for this model.

Man, the price better stay at $999 for the Pro if they’re staying at 128GB. Some titanium frame isn’t worth 100 bucks to me.

I’m locked in a pretty lucrative yearly upgrade cycle with some eBay wizardry, but I might have to finally shell out extra this year for the second storage tier.

128GB with the amount of photo and video I take is just a non starter. You should see all of the blu ray disks I have with backed up multimedia from iPhone. Yes, I clear my phone and still use optical disks for backup (along with an SSD). I’m obsessed with making sure my content is archived.

Me: wow, that’s a good amount of base storage.

Me two seconds later: wait this has been the same for years. Still fine.

I have an iPhone 13 with 128 GB of storage and I’m not even using half of it yet. Not sure why so much storage is needed. Do people just have hundreds of 8K videos and 48 MP RAW photos or something?
